Why Tattoos are Cool
Times and times I see clueless guys score big with the chicks only because they have some lame looking tattoo on their forearm. Tattoos do actually work in becoming attractive. For the girls I mean, because when you want to get a job the situation changes drastically.
A question arises. Why the heck are the tattoos acting like a chick magnet?
Even Zelda inspired tattoos do the trick. Of course most of the charm comes
from the tabu status that tattoos have. Chicks are more likely to hang around
with guys that their mom would have trouble sitting in at the same table, but
mohawks should have the same effect then, but still somehow they don’t. Punk’s
not dead, but the punkers are, when it comes to sexual magnetism at least.
The reasons for the tattoo’s popularity must be deeper. Until a century ago tattoos were pretty much but outlawed, only sailors and circus freaks would wear them.
Popeye the Sailor apparently changed that and brought this art form into the mainstream, or did he? The tattoos were actually brought back in fashion in the 70’s along with the sexual revolution and the strong desire to consume dubious substances.
Tattoos themselves were seen as some ancient tribal totems and were adopted by many to break with the traditional Western culture. This must be it, when a girl is attracted by a tattooed guy she doesn’t necessarily like the chap, but secretly wants to get rid of the Western polish and get into another cultural dimension.
Does this make sense? I thought it didn’t. Oh well… Back to the drawing board.
