Where on my body should I tattoo?
Upper arm tattoos
To be quite honest an upper arm tattoo seems to be pretty much the standard nowadays.
Every office clerk, which happens to like Pink Floyd probably has one. If he has long hair the probability is doubled. If he has a secretary he is probably the boss. Nonetheless having a tattoo like this will greatly hurt your chances of getting hired, probably because all the people in the human resources department have tattoos only on their back. Cursed be this segregation.
The upper arm tattoo has quite a tradition in the Western world and some believe that it was Popeye the sailor man who made it popular. I incline more to the wrestling stars on this issue, but this is probably because I never watched those cartoons to begin with.
Because they are so very popular, they are also the cheapest to make. The tattoo artists love creating, but only in familiar places. Also they know that once a person gets an upper arm tattoo it is very likely that they will get a second one in a different place. Even creative artists have bills to pay and a regular customer is a great thing to have.
Otherwise I tend to think of these tattoos as rather boring. If you want to make a statement you might want to choose a different place, if you just want a tattoo to show off than this is the way to go.
Lower back tattoos
The lower back tattoo is increasingly gaining popularity in our very confused world. What stands apart in this sort of tattoo is the fact that it is mainly designed for women. This signals a brand new era in the ever-changing field of human obsessions.
A question arises. What the heck is the deal with these tattoos anyway? The answer is rather simple. This sort of tattoo can be easily exposed or if necessary hidden depending on the circumstances. Enter a club anywhere about an hour after it opens. No tattoos in sight. Enter the same club 4 hours later. There is pretty much the same bunch of people, but the number of tattoos has greatly increased/
Also a thing not to be overlooked is the fact that this sort of tattoo makes a woman look sensual. The 4 percent of the men who say that they don’t like this sort of tattoo are probably lying or like tattoos in a slightly lower place.
Some of these women who chose a tattoo of this kind never actually display their tattoo in public and consider it a very intimate thing that adds some spice in their personal relations.
Altogether lower back tattoos are quite a sight and can definitely make heads turn and the bottom line is that this the reason for which women get them in the first place.
Chest tattoos
When it comes to macho tattoos nothing can beat the old chest tattoo. Across continents guys never found a better reason for showing their pecs. Typically you would see them on the left side as an extension of an arm tattoo, covering the shoulder almost completely. If you intend to make such a tattoo I’ve got some bad news. It hurts like hell. Some consider this sort of tattoo like the most painful in existence. Some alcohol consumption prior to the operation itself might actually help, but expect a sensation like no other the next day. Chest pain combined with a hangover is a truly brutal combination. When it comes to motifs well, these tattoos stop being that cool. Apparently dragons and roses are the way to go now, followed closely by abstract tribal designs, depicting thorns and poo in a very strange combination. The best tattoo of this kind that I ever saw was a bio-mechanical design. Of course that it was also rather cliché, but it looked really good. Good enough actually to make the owner stay without a t-shirt, although it was mid September, art does need its sacrifices. Altogether this is a rather extreme place to make your tattoo on. Usually those who get one are not at their first experience of this kind. If you don’t have a tattoo yet, maybe you should start with a more orthodox place and try this one later.
